TEACHING

One of the greatest assets any teacher has is their students. Our biggest disservice to them is teaching in a single, monotonous way. I believe students learn more when they are actively involved, whether that means going into the field, bringing the field into the classroom, creative hands-on projects, or allowing them to participate in the instruction. My objective is to create an active learning environment where my students are encouraged to think critically, able to apply concepts in the real world, and to hopefully develop an interest in the field of geography that goes beyond the course description.
